' VEDIC WISDOM - THE ULTIMATE SCIENCE'

PREFACE

We are venturing into this Divine exercise to rationally and logically explain and establish the vedic truths in a language that will be appreciated by the intellectual generation of today so that the benefits of the treasure of wisdom contained and hidden in that knowledge mine can be reached to everyone so that it will enable him to avoid his sufferings and and make him to be eternally happy.

In this exercise we will be explaining and covering the basic truths that are required to establish the scientific nature of Vedas -The Revealed Cosmic Wisdom - the Metaphysics.There will be some repetition of some aspects which is not by oversight but intentionally done since in our opinion these aspects needed to be highlighted even at the cost of repetition Since the understanding the import of these aspects is critical to the Path of Eternal Bliss.

We will also be highlighting many of the misconceptions that have crept in to the interpretation of the vedic science which is the cause for making the entire Vedic wisdom as if irrelevant,imaginary and parochial.

Here we have covered a very small portion of the vedic wisdom which we felt are required and sufficient for the purpose of establishing the irrefutable rationale and logic of the " Divine Path To Eternal Bliss" and "Divine Solutions". To cover the total knowledge and wisdom of the Vedas we may have to write a book running to several thousand pages which is what Pandit Shrirama Sharma is working on - his magnum opus 'The Science Of Vedas"

The Vedas revealed by the Supreme God himself to our great sages is a complete science and has been so revealed by God to emancipate the human beings into super human beings ,for which purpose only this entire creation and cosmos are working.

Therefore to miss out on this great science will be only detrimental to us. If by this exercise that we have undertaken if this great wisdom reaches even a small number of persons we will consider ourselves to be extremely fortunate. Similarly if by using the Divine solutions contained in the Vedas if we can help even a small percentage of humanity we will consider ourselves Blessed.

THE OBJECTIVE

The objective of Divine Remadies is a to alleviate the human sufferings, agonies, pains , disappointments, heart burns and failures through the application of the principles of the Science of Metaphysics and Revealed Cosmic Wisdom contained in Vedas and it's ancillaries.

INTRODUCTION

We believe that the totally compassionate God has created this universe and it's every being including the human beings living here to be only happy and not to suffer at all. But on the contrary we are only seeing every human being complaining being unhappy, sad, sorrowful and worried.

The question arises therefore how and why this has happened.

It raises the fundamental question whether vedic statements are incorrect or there are problems with the human beings which makes the vedic declarations inoperable.

Various scriptures, Vedas,Upanishads,Puranas, Ithihasas and Vakyas have got into the depths of this question and have come out with concrete answers, affirming and reaffirming that the state of bliss is the rule and the state of suffering is man made.They have therefore suggested clear cut instructions for being eternally happy.

But since they were of a time in which the language and method of communication was different from what is in vogue today we find it difficult to comprehend them. Also they are couched in a some what mystic language that it is decipherable only by the serious and ardent seekers.

But in the current day modern fast world not many have time for this. Also “logical analysis” plays a more important role than the “revealed wisdom”. In other words the ocean of the divine wisdom has to be seen through the prism of limited human logic. Therefore it has become our duty to reason out to every one the scientific nature of the Vedic contents so that nobody can think that the Vedic wisdom is bereft of logic.

As said before our sages have left treasure of philosophical knowledge which has answers for every question on metaphysics and cosmic science, but they have been written esoterically – simple in words but very deep in meanings.Therefore not easy to grasp .Not only now, even at that time not that all were able to understand it's deep meaning. That is why the sages converted the deep philosophy into parables (Puranas) and rituals (Anushtanas).

Therefore their idea was that as long as the people follow the ingrained principles the desired result will follow whether the people are experts or not. We see in normal life also that while all of us enjoy many electric and electronic gadgets most of us don't know anything big about the science of electrics or electronics.We only follow the operating manual and enjoy the gadgets.

Over a period of time the Puranas stayed as they were told as captivating stories, but the underlying wisdom did not. Similarly the rituals stayed without the understanding of its significance. Therefore after thousands of years now we find that the essence of the philosophy is lost and has been taken over by ritualists and story tellers which has lead to a backlash with the current intelligent and logical minded generation..

The same is the case with Puranas also. Every Purana has a sound logic and an underlying moral principle to be driven in the minds of people .The sages opted this route as the best way because obviously a well woven story will catch the imagination.In those days the morals with the story was also reaching the public through discourses,dances,dramas and folk arts , which were the main modes of mass entertainment.There was a breed of artists who were specialised and experienced in these art forms. But over a period of time the modes of entertainment changed from devotional to sensory , particularly after India came under the rule of aliens and as a result these form of arts and artists waned away and the meaning and the logic of puranas were forgotten and only the stories survived.

On the other side in the flow of evolution, as we all know only the fittest species will be surviving and the quality of such surviving species will be only advancing. And such species’ intelligence will be only growing. Hence , the fittest specie as on day- the human’s intelligence has grown manifold.

In other words the the students have become intelligent and the teaches have become illogical. The current day religion - the teacher– full of rituals and stories,- without knowing the logical and scientific explanations of the underlying philosophy, is not able to meet up with the questions of the current generation-the students.

This has led to a disillusionment and in fact to the disbanding of the very faith itself. The concept of ‘Vasudeva kudumbam’ –the whole world is one family – was lost sight off and personal aggrandizement, greed, untruth , lust and violence became order of the day.

Unfortunately the religions had no convincing answers to counter its after effects logically, since the ancient wisdom got buried in books and the persons responsible to provide the answers were perhaps themselves not aware of the deep philosophies and it’s wisdom.To worsen matters the religions got into a war among themselves as to who is superior.

This in effect means that the 'spiritual' vedic wisdom is lost and the 'ritual' religion ruling the roost. It has always been the ordained duty of sincere scholars to step into the scene , whenever half knowledge,no knowledge and fake knowledge rules the day, and re-present the Vedic wisdom in a contemporarian phraseology so that the great wisdom of our sages is carried forward for eternity.

PANDIT SHRIRAMA SHARMA

One such seeker of truth is Pandit Shrirama Sharma, who has spent over 40 years in quest of this knowledge. He has been devoting his time and energy in deciphering the truth behind ‘existence (sat); knowledge (chit) and bliss (ananda)’. He has also been researching on the three major principles of ‘ Omniscience (Shiva), Omnipotence (Shakthi) and Omnipresence (Narayana)’.

In his search for truth he analyzed Vedas, Upanishad, Shastras, Sutras; the various religions such as Hinduism,Islam, Buddism, Zoroastrianisn, Christianity, Zen, Taoism , Jainism, Sikhism etc.,, and their respective philosophies; the various schools of thought in these various religions such as Advaitha, Dwaitha, Vishitadwaitha, Realism,Nihilism, Materialism, Idealism ,Theism, Mono theism, Atheism, Sunny, Shia, Sufi , Catholics, Protestants etc., and their significances .,

He deeply researched Vedas in it's entireiity with all it's angas,upangas,etc., etc., He studied in detail the various schools of vedas- the six Astika schols viz., Nyaya,Vaisesika,Samkya, Yoga, Mimamsa and Vedanga ; and the four Nastika schools viz., Buddhism,Jainism,Carvaka,and Ajivaka.,

He went into the depths and heights of Samkya and understood the fusion it has achieved in the material and spiritual realm with no loose ends. It is simply amazing that Sage Kapila could fathom the answers for several physics and metaphysics sciences which the modern scientists could not even now understand.

He also researched the concepts of world as real and world as a dream. He researched on the various forms of worship-with form (Sarguna), formless (Nirguna)- the various cults of worship-Saivism,Vaishnavism, Sakthism etc.,

He spent time in analysing the Puranas,Ithihasas in various languages particularly in Sankrit and Tamil. He delved deep into the Bakthi Literature of Sankrit and Tamil.

He researched the Kriya Yoga sutra of Patanjali, Hatha yoga sutras of Yangavalkiya; the Brahma sutras as commented upon by Sankara and Ramanuja.He researched the constsnt ecstasy of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and the one world religion approach of Swami Vivekananda.

He delved very deep into Panchadasi - the Pinnacle of Vedantha and Bagavad Gita- the ultimate summit of upanishads.

He also researched at great length the principles of Kundalini Yoga and the vast ocean of Maha mantras , it’s significance, it’smeanings, it’s science, it’s origin, and it’s Impact.

He studied and reserched 'Vidhura Needhi','Ardha Shastra'.'Manu Smriti' and learned the profound knowledge on an organised and blissful life.

He similarly researched 'Bhagavatham' to unserstand the significance of transmigration.

Also he analysed 'Garuda Purana' to understand the metaphysical significance of after death experiences.

He did a very detailed study of 'Devi Mahatmiyam','Lalitha Sahasranamam','Devi bagavatham' and understood the magnificence of the 'Omnipotence'

Similarly he studied the'Siva purana','Markandeya purana','Maha Rudram' and understood the deep significance of 'Omniscience'

Also he studied and researched'Vishnu puranam' ,'Vishnu sahasranamam', 'Purusha Suktham'and understood the greatness of 'Omnipresence'

He researched at length the 'Purusha Suktha','Durga Suktha','Sri Suktha', 'Narayana Suktha',' Medha Sukha','Baghya Suktha' and understood the energy nodes of 'Desire to act'-Ichcha;'Will to act'-Kriya;and 'Knowlege to act-Jnana' and 'power to manifest'-Purusha and it's implications to practical life.

He researched the great works of Aurobindo and realised the divinity of the body, life and mind.He extensively studied and researched the great works of Krishnanada and understood the underlying meanings of metaphysics.

He had a deep devotion to Paramacharya of Kanchi and had the ecstatic experience of seeing him, hearing him, and speaking with him. The essence of Devotion, Karma, Sacrifice, Service, Adherence to ones duties, the eternity of Vedas are some of the areas in which he got great knowledge imparted through that great sage.

He also studied in depth the other major branch of human wisdom- Astronomy and Astrology and it’s various schools .He researched at great length the meaning,significance,role and impact of the cosmic bodies on the human psyche.

He studied the principles of Agamas , the Science of Sculpture,the Science of Astro geomentry. He studied extensively the books on Logics and Psychology.

He studied and researched at length the principles and philosophy of Saiva Siddanta.He also analysed and researched the philoshopies of the accomplished yogis - the Siddhas-and their esoteric verses and its metaphysical significances.

He studied Kamba Ramayana, Panchali sabatham, Tiruppugazh, Thevaram Thiruvasagam, Thirumandhiram and other great Tamil bakthi classics.

He studied several times Ramayana and Mahabaratha and learned the methods of applied metaphysics and cosmic science.

He also studied at great length the writings of rationalists,soonyavadis and atheists.

He mastered Tirukkural –the sharpest intellectual work of the world till date. Sage Tiruvalluvar in his opinion is the Gods gift to the humanity who was able to put across the Vedic thoughts in a succinct and clear manner.

He studied Quantum Physics,Quantum Mechanics, Laws of Relativity,Newtons Laws of Science, Theory of Evoluttion,The Theories of Everything, The String theory, The Biocentric theory,Law of Thermo Dynamics,Law of Perpetual Motion, etc.,

He studied and analysed the writings of Socretes, Pluto, Aristotle and other western Philosophers; and Freud,Kent and other innumerable western thoughts on Science of nature and Philosophies of Religion.

The Divine Realisation

What he started with a feeling that religion is perhaps a faith, ended up in realising that, on the contrary ,it is an intensely queried and satisfactorily answered wisdom.

He realised that god has created this universe as a place of absolute bliss only and every being to be eternally happy only. The sufferings are man made and so they are avoidable and rectifiable.

Also there is no true conflict between various religions and they can supplement each other very well.

Further he realized that in reality there is no major difference in the thoughts and approach of the western philosophers and the eastern philosophers.

He was also fully convinced that truly there is no conflict between religion and science; On the contrary they are complimentary.

The great confusion about the degree of authority and relevance of physics and metaphysics is arising out of lack of understanding of what is science.

Science in our opinion is approaching the realities around us with a scientific temperament, particularly on facets which have not been explained logically as of yet, with a question why and how.It involves very close observation of what is happening, postulating a hypothesis, verifying for the recurrence,validating the premise,collecting empirical data and finally accepting it or rejecting it.

Both the scientists, of physics and metaphysics, have approached the issues the same way only.The crucial difference being in physics the theories have been developed on what is seen or seeable whereas in metaphysics it has been developed on what is conceived or conceivable whether seen or not.

Many things what is in physics today were there in metaphysics long long ago.For eg.,vedas have mentioned about the gravitational force of mass bodies thousands of years ago whereas physics had to wait until Newton came.Similarly Vedas have said the creation,sustenance and disintegration happens through vibration only and now the string theory says the same thing.Vedas said the one year of the humnas is one day of the devas in the celestial abode. And now relativity theory has confirmed things trevelling at the speed of light loses time.After how many millenniums after Vedas that have we figured out the radio waves,electro magnetic waves etc which were all clearly articulated in Vedas ., We can go on listing such examples.

Just the point to be kept in mind is that not everything in the universe in seeable/ hearable /observable by human beings.Humans have a range of frequencies of light and sound that can be seen or heard by them. But that does not mean that the rest are not there. To take a simple example what a cat can see in the night man can't. Will that mean they were not there.

This is because there are several realms in the universe and the human mind is in a particular realm and therefore it's cognitive faculties will operate in that realm only.

It can handle only whatever audio and video frequencies,electro magnetic frequencies,vibratory frequencies for which it has been tuned by the God.

When mind/intellect evolves into a super mind many of the things which we are not able hear,see and understand today will become seeable,hearable and knowable.

Therefore if we understand that the cosmos consists of much more energy centres which have not been seen by physics as of yet but which have been visualised by metaphysics, then things will be clear.And if we use that knowledge to develop an applied metaphysics it will help a lot in making this journey of life a very pleasant experience.

The biggest benefit of physics have been felt only after it became applied physics . Similarly with applied metaphysics we can do many wonders.

Therefore he came to a conclusion that the religious principles and practices ( which he calls as spiritual principles and practices) - particularly 'the Vedic Astrology' - may have to be re-told in today’s language so that it can be converted into 'applied vedic science'. He was convinced that once it is done then most of the human sufferings can be addressed and alleviated.

This made him to commence his magnum opus ‘ The science of Vedas’.

NEED FOR DIVINE PERMISSION

While answers for many of these questions he understood from the research and analysis of the Vedas, Upanishads, etc., for some of his questions he got the answers revealed intuitively . And in certain aspects what he realised was at great variance from the current philosophies of the religion.More so in respect of the 'Vedic Astrological Solutions' .Therefore he was not clear whether he has the divine sanction for venturing into this exercise of taking it to the masses.

Therefore he simply postulated his thesis of Existence,Knowledge and Bliss (Sachidananda) and the causes of human maladies (karma) and his solutions for redemption (the Divine Remedies) and placed the same before the God Almighty and asked him for his guidance.

PATH TO ETERNAL BLISS

His is the theory of "DIVINE PATH TO ETERNAL BLISS"- the state of unremitting joy - with sure and simple steps to reach that world of bliss and 'DIVINE REMEDIES'-the vedic solutions to remedy human sufferings.
